I know that life happens and such, but barring that I hope to have an active DM, who is confident in their abilities. As such I do hope to get a relatively experienced DM, who has ran a big setting campaign before, and who is active on the forums. There's also the saying "no game is better than a bad game". Hopes for DM: I know this is a big setting, and I hope to do it justice. For players, listen to what DM says :smalltongue: For the DM, it would be fine to just know about wherever they want to start the players (if you plan on starting everyone in the lands of the Calabim (vampires), just read about calabim, and the like.

This PDF () has the setting information.įamiliarity with setting: The PDF is damn long, and I dont expect anyone to be fully familiar with everything in it. PDF with the setting information: Just to make sure no one misses it, I'll post it again. Anything else is more or less optional (though you can't NOT read atleast about one civilization and their God, unless everyone starts in the wilderness) Similarly, you can ignore generic descriptions for various buildings like the barracks.ĭM's readings: A DM should read from the start up to page 23, skipping any useless descriptions in last few pages as he sees fit. Like the fluff for the fireball spell talking abit about fire magic and such.Ībout setting: Obviously it would be silly to have a potential DM need to download the game, the mod, and look through the thing. In the game's "encyclopedia", the thing that describes how various units and buildings work, said things also have a section dedicated to fluff. The lore in the game is presented in a fashion somewhat similar to how dark souls has it done.

The mod is based on a D&D campaign the creators of it played way back (from what I understand possibly even before 3.5). Setting's Origin: I am familiar with the setting because it serves as lore for a rather extensive mod for a popular (if somewhat old) game Civilization 4. Forgive me if I ramble abit too much in my explanation. I will give some background for the setting, and my general expectations of anyone who wants to DM below. I am hoping to have a game ran based on a certain setting.
